So… what’s the Scoop?

  • Each episode of The Scoop takes viewers into the heart of Georgian Bay—through the people, places, and stories that shape it.

Sometimes we’re in the studio, sometimes we’re out in the community. Some episodes feature multiple guests, while others focus in on one event, story, or voice. The format is flexible by design, allowing us to stay present, responsive, and tapped into what’s happening right now.

What stays consistent is the tone: upbeat, thoughtful, and rooted in real connection. Every episode is crafted to be engaging, visually strong, and full of heart—something worth watching, sharing, and talking about.

  • It depends!

Some episodes are filmed at the Simcoe Street Theatre, located at 65 Simcoe Street, Collingwood, Ontario—a versatile black box space that serves as our creative playground. Its blank-slate design lets us shape the vibe of each shoot, whether it’s an intimate one-on-one, a lively roundtable, or a guest showcase.

But we also take The Scoop on the road—filming on-location at local businesses, community spaces, and hidden gems across Georgian Bay. This evolving format helps us meet people where they are and showcase the region's stories in the spaces that matter most to them.

  • Think: curated, cozy, and camera-ready. The Scoop strikes that sweet spot between laid-back and polished—where storytelling feels natural but the setting still turns heads.

Some episodes are shot in the moody black box of Simcoe Street Theatre, where lighting, angles, and design are part of the storytelling. Others happen on-location—at a café, studio, boutique, or business—each space lending its own character to the conversation.

No matter where we are, the vibe stays consistent: elevated but unpretentious, inviting but intentional. Style with substance.

  • Because co-hosting a talk show isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.

We’re naturally curious, love meeting new people, discovering cool places, and hearing people’s stories.

Every episode brings a different mix: a new guest, a new business, a new location, a new vibe.

We’re here to shine a light on everything local, all while keeping it fun and fresh.

We keep it light, we keep it real, and we never run out of things to talk about.

Who are we?

We are a team of local storytellers and creators with a deep passion for community, arts, and culture. We believe in the power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and amplify the voices that make our region unique. Whether it's shining a light on local businesses, artists, changemakers, or everyday moments that deserve to be shared, we are committed to bringing authentic stories to the forefront.

At The Scoop, we celebrate the people, places, and events that shape our community. Through meaningful conversations, engaging features, and a dedication to inclusivity, we strive to create a platform where everyone feels seen and heard. We’re here to tell your story—because every voice matters.
